Advanced Prostate Care is a herbal complex formulated to take care of men’s prostate health. It contains 5 main ingredients: Saw palmetto, pumpkin seeds, nettle, ginger and tongkat ali. These 5 ingredients each have its potent benefits and work together to give the best results.
Serenoa repens (Saw Palmetto)
Saw palmetto is a supplement made from the fruit of the Serenoa repens tree. It’s often used to treat enlarged prostate, improve urinary function, and enhance hair growth. Some also use the supplement to boost libido and fertility and reduce inflammation. Saw palmetto may help treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) — a medical condition characterized by a slow, noncancerous yet abnormal enlargement of the prostate. BPH is common in older men, affecting up to 75% of men in their 70s. If left untreated, the prostate can enlarge to the point of interfering with the ability to urinate. Studies reported that saw palmetto may help increase urine flow and reduce nighttime urination in men with BPH.
Pumpkin seeds are rich in zinc, carotenoids and phytosterols – compounds thought to support prostate health. There is more zinc in a healthy prostate than in any other area of the body, but levels are lower in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or prostate cancer. What’s more, a carotenoid-rich diet has been found to reduce the risk of BPH, whilst phytosterols can help relieve the symptoms of BPH.
One of the cause of prostate enlargement is dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in men. DHT is responsible for semen production and expulsion but too much DHT stimulates prostate cells, causing them to multiply. Research shows that pumpkin seed blocks the actions of 5-alpha reductase, one of the enzymes involved in the conversion of testosterone into DHT. This could help prevent prostate cells from multiplying.
Eurycoma longifolia (White Tongkat Ali)
Eurycoma longifolia is a medicinal plant commonly called Tongkat Ali and “Malaysian ginseng.” Tongkat Ali roots are a traditional “anti-aging” remedy and modern supplements are intended to improve libido, energy, sports performance and weight loss. It is also a folk remedy for malaria. Previous studies have shown properly-standardized Tongkat Ali to stimulate release of free testosterone, improve sex drive, reduce fatigue, and improve well-being. It can increase testosterone level in men by up to 500%.
Urtica dioica (Nettle)
Up to 50% of men aged 51 and older have an enlarged prostate gland. An enlarged prostate is commonly called benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Scientists aren’t sure what causes BPH, but it can lead to significant discomfort during urination. Interestingly, a few studies suggest that nettle may help treat BPH. Animal research reveals that this powerful plant may prevent the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone – a more powerful form of testosterone. Stopping this conversion can help reduce prostate size. Studies in people with BPH demonstrate that stinging nettle extracts help treat short- and long-term urination problems – without side effects.
Zingiber officinale (Ginger)
Ginger needs no introduction in the world of holistic wellness. It is widely used in many home remedies. Its powerful effects on health is due to its compound gingerol, a substance with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is used in this formula to reduce the day-to-day progression of prostate inflammation.
